Job description:
Responsibilities
1. Consultation and Guidance
- Provide comprehensive consultation to students and parents, offering tailored academic pathways with a focus on higher education planning.
- Design personalized curriculum and learning plans based on each student’s interests, strengths, and long-term goals.
- Establish clear and achievable learning objectives to support student academic and career development.
2. Monitoring Student Progress
- Regularly track and evaluate students’ academic performance to ensure progress toward established goals.
- Identify learning challenges and implement strategies to improve academic outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to enhance the overall learning experience.
3. Renewals and Referrals
- Facilitate the renewal process for existing students to ensure continuity of services.
- Provide referrals to enrichment programs, extracurricular activities, or specialized resources that support students’ holistic development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students and families to encourage positive referrals and long-term engagement.
4. Communication and Reporting
- Maintain open, transparent, and consistent communication with students and parents.
- Provide regular updates on academic progress, achievements, areas for improvement, and recommendations.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing student performance and strategic next steps.
5. Professional Development
- Stay updated on current trends in education, academic counseling, AP curriculum, and college planning.
- Continuously improve professional skills to ensure high-quality, research-based guidance.
Requirements
Sales Experience
- Previous sales experience, preferably in education, consulting, or service-based industries.
- Strong communication, persuasion, and client relationship–building skills.
Knowledge of the AP Curriculum (Advanced Placement)
- Familiarity with AP subjects, exam structures, scoring, and course planning.
- Ability to guide students in selecting AP courses based on academic readiness and college admission goals.
